This week, the MOVE Guides team took the HR world by storm at HR Tech Europe, the fasting growing HR event in the world. MOVE Guides exhibited the Talent Mobility Cloud, alongside some of the biggest industry names (Oracle, Workday, IBM, etc.) and spoke with a wide range of HR professionals who were delighted to find an innovative solution for managing their increasing levels of global talent.

The team also had a great time listening to the best of HR Tech, especially at the keynote sessions with Peter Hinssen, nexxworks and Costas Markides, London Business School.

Peter Hinssen kicked off the conference with a keynote on “The Network Always Wins.” He spoke to a standing room only crowd of engaged listeners on the evolution of technology, a shifting HR world, and emphasized how companies should “think like a startup, innovative like a network and don’t overdo strategy.”

On day two, Costas Markides brought tons of excitement to the main stage, speaking to the audience on the new future of a digital revolution. He addressed the importance of company culture and how businesses shouldn’t just want to attract top talent, but must energize them as well.  Using videos such as P & G’s Olympics commercial, he addressed how emotional benefits are increasingly important and that companies should “move values from the wall to people’s hearts.” He also noted a huge trend in the “number of digital startups that have exploded and brought radical business models into the market.”

One of the biggest themes of the conference was the rebranding of HR into a strategic, data driven arm of a company. With immense innovation in HR Technology and talent management, HR is shifting from a purely administrative function and positioning themselves alongside key business objectives.

Another major theme was the strong emphasis on the employee experience. Companies must look to evolve alongside an ever-changing competitive talent landscape to attract, retain and empower a pipeline of global talent. This is also evident in the conference’s strong emphasis on creating company culture and values.

We look forward to seeing you again this October at HR Tech Congress and are already excited to see big name keynote speakers such as Sir Richard Branson, Founder of Virgin Group, Josh Bersin, Founder of Bersin by Deloitte, Mary Moloney, CEO of CoderDojo, and many more.
